About the job

  • As a Registered Nurse working in Theatre you will be scrubbing or circulating and ultimately providing safe, efficient and quality patient centred care. 
  • Whilst orthopaedic is the main focus, you will also work across a variety of other surgical specialties including ophthalmology, endoscopy and laparoscopic procedures - with different surgeons and teams.
  • Work Monday to Friday over morning and afternoon shifts. You would generally be finished by 8pm. No weekend or public holiday work so a great work/life balance is to be had here
About you
  • Registered Nurse with a current APC. 
  • Recent orthopaedic theatre experience is essential. 
  • New Zealand theatre experience is definitely an advantage, preferably 2-3 years
  • Ideally you will be a generalist able to work across multiple specialties 
  • Professional, eager to learn and highly trainable
  • An excellent communicator with brilliant listening skills
  • Calm and confident
  • Organised, methodical and precise, yet flexible
  • Accountable and resilient
  • A team player who interacts well with others in this tight knit multidisciplinary team
