Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Therapeutic Services Manager to join our team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of clinical excellence within our Therapeutic Services team and throughout our organization. You will oversee the management and support of Youthline counsellors, foster a culture of clinical expertise, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that we remain at the forefront of clinical service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support Youthline counsellors, providing supervision and guidance as needed.
  • Foster a culture of clinical excellence and innovation within the Therapeutic Services team and across the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain Youthline's position as a leader in the field of clinical services.
  • Oversee a team of 4.5 direct reports, as well as interns and contractors.
  • Ensure the delivery of the highest quality care to our clients, with a focus on meeting the needs of priority mental health groups, including Māori, Pacific, Rainbow, and Asian communities.
  • Lead change management initiatives and project manage strategic priorities within the Therapeutic Services team.
  • Manage financial and budgetary aspects of the Therapeutic Services department.
  • Oversee operational service delivery and planning to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification ( e.g. Counselling, Psychotherapy, or Psychology).
  • Full registration with a recognized New Zealand Membership Body (e.g., NZAC, NZCCA, DAAPANZ, NZAP).
  • Extensive senior management experience within the Mental Health Sector, ideally with supervision experience.
  • Demonstrated strong clinical networks and extensive clinical experience, preferably including high-risk settings.
  • Experience in change management and project management.
  • Financial and budget management experience.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage relationships and team members.
  • Knowledge and experience of priority mental health groups, including Māori, Pacific, Rainbow, and Asian communities.
