We are looking for an awesome person to provide team support to those looking after vulnerable Kiwis

We are looking for an awesome person to help the team that make a difference for those in family violence situations. 
 
What to expect in the role:
  • Provide a high standard of clinical support to your team and clients via telehealth channels. 
  • Provide mentoring and support to volunteers and peer support to staff
  • Work set rostered shifts
  • Make time sensitive clinical assessments and decisions and hold professional boundaries
  • Ensure a strengths based, person centred approach
  • Facilitate effective communication with support agencies
  • Engage in ongoing training and development
  • Be available on weekends and evenings on occasion for trainings/orientations
 
Do you have what it takes?
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional, with current certification as:
    • Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Counsellor, occupational therapist or,
    • A fully registered alcohol and drug and/or gambling practitioner member of the Addiction Practitioners’ Association Aotearoa–New Zealand (DAPAANZ) or,
    • A fully registered social worker or,
    • A counsellor fully registered with NZAC
  • Proven experience in mental health
  • Skilled in identifying and assessing risk (suicide, care and protection, self-harm), safety planning, and interventions and ability to make effective, time sensitive clinical decisions and review incident reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to build rapport with clients and their families / whānau quickly
  • Ability to show empathy with a calm, non-judgemental manner
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Passion and knowledge in supporting young people
  • Commitment to providing a culturally competent service and working bi-culturally
