About the job
As a Registered Nurse working in Theatre – either as a scrub nurse, circulating nurse or anaesthetic nurse, you’ll ultimately be providing safe, efficient and quality patient centred care. Whilst orthopaedic surgery is common, you will also work across a variety of surgical specialties, with different surgeons and teams. On offer is:
  • Family friendly shifts – morning, afternoon and day lists (no nights, maybe one or 2 Saturdays a year). No on call.
  • There are Consultants only in this hospital. No Registrars or House Surgeons means nurses have the opportunity to deal directly with the Surgeon/Anaethetist and step up and develop surgical assistance skills. If you are keen and demonstrate commitment, you will be encouraged and supported to do further study – as a First Surgical Assist or a Registered Nurse Anaesthetic Assist.
  • A dynamic, committed, hardworking and supportive team. 
 
Skills and attributes required
Obviously, you will be a Registered Nurse with a current APC. You will have a strong customer focus, be committed to improvement initiatives and your own professional development. Theatre experience (particularly in orthopaedics) is ideal. In addition you will be:
