About the job
 
This is a part time position working 30 hours per week (ideally across 5 days) based in central Christchurch but supporting the wider Canterbury region. You’ll be the backbone of the office providing administrative and all round “the glue that sticks everything together” support to the Family Support Coordinators, Volunteer Support Manager and Business Development Manager. This includes reception, meeting and greeting visitors, database management, volunteer coordination, event and activities coordination, membership support, social media and general administration. It really is an admin role with great variety.
 
About you:

Without a doubt you’ll be a warm, empathetic and engaging team player with top notch administrative skills and experience. You must have:
  • Strong Technical skills - you’ll be a whizz with the entire microsoft office suite including excel, outlook, word and powerpoint. You’ll be confident with social media and have worked with databases previously
  • Excellent organisational skills - proven examples of planning, coordinating, working to timeframes and prioritising competing demands
  • Empathetic and service oriented approach - This organisation supports families going through tough times. A great phone manner and a helpful nature is essential. 
  • Flexible and adaptable with excellent initiative. You won't know everything but you’ll be resourceful, anticipate needs and know where to look for help when you need it
  • A clean, New Zealand Drivers license
