Part Time Physio - Private Hospital | Taranaki_NewZealand

  • Team culture ++ young, fun, sporty team of clinicians
  • 20 hours per week, however community and clinic work could take this to F/T
  • Competitive salary and benefits

Acute postoperative rehab physio work in private hospital. Part of a wider co-located clinic team. 20 hrs per week (or more if wanted)

New Plymouth is a great place to live and work. It was voted the 2nd best city in the world to visit by Lonely Planet last year. Action and adventure, arts and culture, walking, hiking and cycling (and houses a third of the cost of Auckland!) await you.

Whilst this is a part time position working as a private hospital physio we can make this work for you if you'd like to be full time. The additional hours can be made up with community or MSK clinic work. In essence, job details and experience required as follows:

  • Based in a specialist centre co-located with private hospital a couple of streets from the coastline.
  • Providing acute postoperative rehabilitation - predominantly orthopaedics however some general surgery work as well
  • 20 hours a week. Ideally you'll be flexible across the week as the days could be quieter or busier depending on the surgeons schedule. The ability to work some weekends is ideal (you'll get well compensated for this) however if you need set hours and days, this too could be accomodated.
  • You'll be connected to a young, fun and sporty team of 10 clinicians, yet working autonomously in the hospital so won't feel isolated
  • Positive team culture with a focus on learning and development - you'll receive stacks of inhouse training and yearly conferences.
  • Competitive remuneration (including health insurance, APC and registration paid for, professional development allowance, weekend loadings). Happy to pay top dollar for a really experienced and flexible physio.
  • You'll be encouraged to follow your clinical passions and interests as well as those of the outdoor variety - you name it, they're into it. Surfing, mountain biking, fishing and diving....
  • An effective communication style, confidence and a can do attitude is essential.
  • You will hold NZ Physiotherapy Board registration, a current Annual Practicing Certificate and have a commitment to ongoing professional development.
