We are looking for an upbeat and clinically confident team leader to provide support to those looking after vulnerable youth.

THE ROLE: In this role, you will….
- Provide a high standard of support to your team and clients that work in a telehealth environment
- Provide mentoring and support to volunteers and peer support to staff
- Work set rostered shifts
- Make time-sensitive clinical assessments and decisions and hold professional boundaries
- Ensure a strengths-based, person-centred approach
- Facilitate effective communication with support agencies
- Engage in ongoing training and development
- Be available on weekends and evenings on occasion for training/orientations
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR The ideal candidate must be a qualified Mental Health Professional, with current certifications as:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, registered DAPAANZ practitioner or, a Counsellor fully registered with NZAC
Ideally, you will also have: - Proven experience in mental health
- Skilled in identifying and assessing risk (suicide, care and protection, self-harm), safety planning, and interventions and ability to make effective, time-sensitive clinical decisions and review incident reports
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passion and knowledge in supporting young people
- Commitment to providing culturally competent service and working bi-culturally along with an understanding of the LGBTQ+ community.
