About the role
This position will have you responsible for developing, leading and providing clinical supervision to a team of community nurses. Based on the restorative model of care, your team will be working holistically alongside the people they support and their families; in their homes; encouraging the highest level of independence possible. 

As the Team Leader you will:
  • Maintain oversight of clinical service delivery - compliance with contract specifications, ensuring reporting and review timeframes are met, oversight of complex care packages and InterRAi clinical supervision
  • Lead, manage, supervise and support your team of nurses - workflow reviews, appraisals, education plans, personal and professional goal setting, performance management, recruitment and induction of new staff
  • Work collaboratively and collegially with your Regional Managers and District Nurse, Post Discharge Support and Palliative Team Leader colleagues to ensure seamless and efficient delivery of services 
  • Manage quality assurance activities such as complaints, audits and exception reporting
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8 - 4.30. With community services being delivered as far north as the Waimakariri District it would be expected you’ll spend time in the satellite office in Kaiapoi regularly. The main office is in Christchurch.
About you
This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with strong community nursing and leadership experience. You’ll be positive, proactive and solutions focussed. You will enable and encourage a flexible and responsive service and team.

As a leader you’ll be supportive and encouraging, pragmatic, flexible and adaptable as well as resilient. A sense of humour is key!

This role is largely administrative so you’ll be well organised and able to manage your time effectively. Ideally you’ll be InterRai trained and you must hold a Full Driver’s License
