About the Job

This position will have you responsible for providing clinical leadership and management across two sites situated just 5 minutes apart in Johnsonville. There are 73 beds in total across rest home and hospital. 

This is a hands on clinical management role providing a safe environment for residents and staff through provision of clinical and professional management, leadership and expertise. You’ll be part of the senior leadership team contributing to the delivery of business requirements. You'll be well supported by the Home Manager but also given the autonomy to drive and set the clinical direction. You will take responsibility for clinical decisions whilst empowering, mentoring and motivating staff to develop their capability and use initiative in problem solving.

You may also need to provide on-call cover and some weekend work on a shared basis to ensure there is always senior RN cover available.

About you

A Registered Nurse with current APC, you will have at least 5 years of demonstrated experience leading teams and driving quality service provision in the aged residential care sector. You'll have working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, quality and compliance requirements. In addition you:

  • Will support and develop your team to be the best they can be individually and collectively.
  • Bring ability and passion for building capability and confidence in others
  • Have excellent communication skills – open, responsive and positive
  • Care about people – residents, their family, colleagues and the team.
