This well-established charitable trust provides quality hospital, rest home and dementia level residential care, as well as retirement village accommodation across two sites in Napier.  They are committed to providing the highest quality and professional standards in meeting the residents’ individual, psychological, cultural and spiritual needs within a safe, warm, caring, friendly, family oriented environment.
About the Job
This position is newly created and will have you responsible for providing clinical leadership and management across the 68 bed rest home and hospital site. You’ll oversee clinical care as well as on site kitchen, laundry and cleaning services.

A member of the senior leadership team, you will work in conjunction with the General Manager, CNM of Dementia Care, Quality Manager and others to help shape future services while leading and empowering your team. This is a role that straddles the operations and the strategy. Your role will encompass leadership and staff development, clinical management, financial and operational management, legislative compliance and contractual obligations with statutory agencies.

The position is Full Time, Monday to Friday and you’ll be one of 4 participating in an on call roster.
About you

A Registered Nurse with current APC, you will have demonstrated experience leading teams and driving quality service provision in the aged residential care sector. You'll have working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, quality and compliance requirements.

Importantly you are a collaborative, responsive and empowering leader. You will support and develop your team to be the best they can be individually and collectively. In addition you will bring:
  • Ability and passion for build capability and confidence in others
  • Excellent communication skills – open, responsive and positive
  • Fresh eyes and a continuous improvement approach
  • The ability to balance daily operational demands with strategic thinking
