About the organisation
  
Due to increased demand in the community, this organisation based in Hastings, Hawke’s Bay is looking for skilled and experienced registered practitioners to join their Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health Service. They are currently transforming the way they deliver services, so are seeking motivated people to be part of this change – to not only complete comprehensive assessments, but also provide therapy and deliver intervention.
  
About the Job
  
Working in a team that delivers mental health assessments, treatment and support in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach you’ll be required to:
  • Provide a high quality family therapy service to clients up to 19 years of age presenting with different mental health conditions
  • Assess, but more importantly deliver, evidence based individual, group and family therapy to families, adolescents and their family including CBT, solution focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, DBT etc..
  • Work as part of an MDT both in hospital, in close association with GP’s and community organisations
  • Support a holistic approach, collaborative relationships, integrated pathways as well as a strong emphasis on improving services and reducing inequities for Māori whānau, hapū and iwi
  • This is a Full Time position working 80 hours per fortnight. Whilst we are looking for a permanent team member, we are also open to fixed term contracts if this is your preference.

  
  
Skills & Experience
  
It is essential that you are a motivated team player with a real heart for the work that you do. You’ll be open to delivering services differently and being part of the change that is already in play. You’ll love the challenge of a busy role that sees you making a difference. In addition you’ll:
  • Hold a recognised qualification in nursing, social work, psychology, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, counselling or family therapy and be registered with your relevant national registration body. Relevant Post Grad qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Be trained and experienced in different therapies and modalities with clinical practise experience working with children, adolescents and families
  • Be passionate and dedicated to working in partnership with Maori and Pacific Island youth services and with a range of other sectors including Oranga Tamariki, Youth Justice, NGO’s, Education and Department of Corrections Community Probation Services
  • Hold a Full and clean Driver’s License
