About the job

This is a nurse leadership role within a 41 bed aged care facility. The position is based in Wairoa, only a 37 minute drive from the idyllic Mahia Peninsula where you can spend your evenings and weekends walking on the beach or fishing. A lifestyle is on offer here, whilst still being connected to a reputable nationwide organisation with support, challenge and professional development.

You'll be working in conjunction with the Care Home Manager and will:
  • Provide clinical oversight, leadership and direction
  • Assist with operational management of the facility
  • Actively participate in quality and risk management programmes
  • Ensure provision of care to residents is of a high standard
  • Participate in the implementation of effective education programmes

Skills and Experience

You will be a Registered Nurse with current APC, right to work in NZ and a passion for and experience working in the aged residential care sector in New Zealand.

This could be the perfect opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Clinical Nurse Coordinator to step onto the management ladder. Especially if you have preceptored students, had exposure to rostering and / or taken on additional quality or infection control responsibilities in previous positions.

A dynamic go getter with a passion for leading and developing clinical and support staff will work well here. You will really care about and value people and this will show in your patient and family centred approach. An open communicator, with high integrity; You’ll demonstrate a commitment to people, clinical quality, safety and improvement.

This is a Monday - Friday position.
