Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage companion animal emergency presentations
- Stabilise and treat medical and surgical emergencies
- Develop diagnostic and treatment plans
- Collaborate with specialist clinicians on complex cases
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative clinical culture
Ideally you'll have:
- Registration (or eligibility) to practise as a Veterinarian in New Zealand
- Previous companion animal experience
- Emergency or critical care experience (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- A genuine passion for providing exceptional patient care
