What we are looking for 
We are currently seeking a  Multi-Site Urgent Care or ED Nurse  who will join the current  Reliever team, focussed on being deployed where you are needed most of all

You will act as a Senior Nurse joining teams and providing clinical care and insights for patients visiting the Urgent Care Clinics. You will need to feel comfortable to work across a handful of the Urgent Care Clinics as working across multiple sites from week to week will be very common. 

This nominated clinics are based in Epsom, Mt Wellington, St Lukes, New Lynn, Henderson, Northcote and Glenfield . Therefore you must be able to commute and drive to all of these locations without any issues. 

As this role is formed across multiple sites we are offering a notably higher rate of pay compared to other Urgent Care opportunities. 
  • Perform accurate nursing assessments and provide evidence-based interventions.
  • Deliver ongoing, culturally safe care that meets patient and family needs.
  • Maintain precise documentation and promote patient education.
  • Participate in team discussions, professional development, and quality improvement initiatives.
This is also a permanent part time role (30 hrs per week) however this can be negotiated to full time should that be your request. 

Your Background To succeed and thrive in this role, you'll bring:
  • Advanced experience in Acute Nursing.
  • Current registration as a New Zealand Registered Nurse.
  • Previous urgent care facility experiences are advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Awareness of ACC and PHC.
  • Familiarity with MedTech 32 or MedTech Evolution (or similar) preferred.
  • Commitment to health equity and cultural competency, with an understanding of Tikanga Māori, Kawa Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Legal rights to work in New Zealand.
