Our client is a leading private surgical facility in Newtown offering advanced care across multiple specialties. They have 5 operating theatres, dedicated day procedure units and an ICU enabling care for a wide range of patients. The Hospital is expanding to increase surgical capacity.

About the Job

We have two great opportunities available to shape theatre operations and culture, with a strong focus on performance, teamwork and growth.
  • Clinical Nurse Lead - Orthopaedics
  • Clinical Nurse Lead - General Surgery
You'll each oversee the day to day running of a busy specialty, manage up to 8 direct report RNs, coordinate loan and consignment equipment and work closely with surgeons and other health professionals to ensure seamless patient care. You will also support innovation and continuous improvement in robotic surgery.

These are leadership roles for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can balance operational oversight with team development. We welcome applicaitons from experienced scrub nurses who have enjoyed some leadership opportunities looking to progress their career.

About you

You are an experienced or emerging leader with:
  • NZ Nursing registration and current APC
  • At least 5 years’ post-registration theatre experience (with expertise in General Surgery or Orthopaedics)
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team in a surgical environment
  • Expert communicator and collaborator
  • A commitment to clinical excellence and continuous improvement
