South/East - Regional Clinical Lead

What we are looking for
We are seeking an experienced  Regional Clinical Lead  to provide senior nursing leadership across a defined cluster of clinics.
This role works in close partnership with the  Chief Nursing Officer , operational leaders and Charge Nurses to drive nursing strategy, workforce capability, nurse-led models of care and clinical excellence across the region.
Increasing nurse-led consults, supporting nurse prescribing, and strengthening population health outcomes sit at the core of this role.
 
The opportunity - Based across Ellerslie as well as 5 South/ East Auckland based clinics
As Regional Clinical Lead, you will:
  • Provide visible, senior clinical leadership to Charge Nurses and nursing teams across the cluster
  • Coach, mentor and develop nursing leaders, fostering high performance and professional accountability
  • Lead implementation of Tamaki Health's nursing strategic priorities at a regional level
  • Drive growth in nurse-led consults, planned care and nurse prescribing models
  • Support workforce planning, recruitment, rostering guidance and skill-mix optimisation
  • Lead regional health target initiatives including immunisation, cervical screening, diabetes and CVDRA
  • Remove barriers to opportunistic screening and dashboard utilisation across clinics
  • Partner with Cluster Managers and Charge Nurses to deliver safe, efficient and patient-centred services
  • Provide clinical governance oversight, quality improvement leadership and audit support
  • Contribute to policy development, clinical standards and evidence-based practice
  • Ensure Te Tiriti o Waitangi commitments are embedded within regional quality and nursing plans
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external providers and professional bodies
This is a senior leadership role offering both  strategic influence and operational impact  across a multi-clinic environment.
 
Your background
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
  • Current  New Zealand Registered Nurse  registration and APC
  • Proven senior nursing leadership experience within Primary Care, Community Health or a complex clinical environment
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience coaching, mentoring and performance managing nursing teams
  • Experience implementing nurse-led models of care and supporting workforce development
  • Sound understanding of population health targets, funding streams and primary care systems
  • Strong clinical governance, quality improvement and change management capability
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a genuine commitment to health equity
  • High professional standards, initiative and alignment with Tamaki Health values
  • Full legal right to work in New Zealand and compliance with the Vulnerable Children Act
