About the Role
Working closely with the Practice Manager and wider leadership team, you’ll support the smooth running of the day surgery service while remaining actively involved across the perioperative journey.

The service provides specialist care across a range of surgical specialties, including:
• Gastroenterology
• Colorectal Surgery
• General Surgery
• Gynaecology
• Bariatric Surgery
• Non-surgical Gastroenterology
What You'll Be Doing As a Senior Theatre Nurse, you will:
• Provide senior clinical support and guidance within a small, collaborative perioperative team
• Support daily theatre coordination and patient flow within a single-theatre environment
• Assist with staff allocation and safe delivery of patient care
• Provide clinical support and escalation advice when required
• Contribute to quality improvement and best-practice initiatives
• Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Remain actively involved in hands-on theatre nursing

Your Team You’ll be part of a dedicated perioperative team including:
• Theatre Nurses
• PACU Nurses
• Anaesthetic Technicians
• CSSD Technicians
• Casual support staff as required
About You
You’ll bring:
• Current NZ Registered Nurse APC
• Minimum two years’ scrub/theatre experience
• Strong perioperative knowledge and clinical judgement
• Confidence working independently within a small team environment
• A collaborative, patient-focused approach
Highly regarded:
• PACU and/or CSSD experience
• Previous senior nursing, shift coordination or team support experience
• Experience contributing to quality improvement initiatives
What’s on Offer

- $54–$60 per hour depending on experience
