If you're an experienced OT who enjoys helping people get back to work and stay there, this senior opportunity offers a strong vocational focus with the chance to broaden into concussion and social rehab.
You'll be part of a well-established, multidisciplinary team in a busy Christchurch clinic, known for its supportive and social culture. Reporting into a long-standing Vocational Rehab Lead (6+ years with the business), you'll have the backing to step in confidently and continue developing your practice.
About the role
This hybrid position blends community-based work with flexibility and autonomy. While vocational rehabilitation is the core focus, you'll also have the opportunity to work across concussion and social rehabilitation contracts, giving you variety and scope to grow.
Key responsibilities
- Support clients to return to and maintain employment through vocational rehab
- Carry out functional and cognitive assessments across a diverse caseload
- Develop and deliver tailored rehab plans to improve independence and wellbeing
- Produce clear, high-quality reports outlining progress, goals, and outcomes
- Manage your diary effectively to balance client care and billables
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes
- Salary: $97,000 - $117,000 + monthly bonus potential
- 75% billable target
- Flexible, hybrid working model
- Annual professional development allowance + APC reimbursement
- Tools to reduce admin load, including AI clinical documentation support
- Laptop and phone provided
- Strong team culture with regular social events and wellbeing initiatives
- Clear career progression within a stable, low-turnover team
You'll be joining a large, collaborative team with a mix of long-standing clinicians and newer talent. This is a replacement role due to resignation, not growth pressure, and the team itself is stable with minimal turnover. The clinic is centrally located with parking, and you'll be working in an environment that values development, balance, and genuine support.
What we're looking for
- NZ-registered Occupational Therapist with a current APC
- Minimum 3+ years' NZ experience
- Strong background or interest in vocational rehabilitation
- Confident working autonomously and managing a caseload
- Open to developing across concussion and social rehab
- Full NZ driver's licence
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
This is a great fit for a senior OT who values autonomy, wants variety in their caseload, and is looking to be part of a team that invests in both its people and the tools they use to succeed.
