An exciting opportunity is available for a  Registered Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist  to join a well-established multidisciplinary rehabilitation provider in Timaru. Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time work (minimum 15 hours per week), you'll become part of a supportive team with an established caseload and strong clinical leadership.

This role offers meaningful work with clients recovering from a wide range of injuries, alongside excellent professional development and genuine work-life balance.
The Opportunity Working primarily within  ACC-funded rehabilitation , you'll support clients who have experienced traumatic injuries and require psychological assessment and intervention as part of their recovery.
Your caseload will include clients experiencing:
  • Chronic pain
  • Concussion and mild traumatic brain injury
  • Trauma following injury
  • Sensitive Claims
  • Mental health impacts of injury
  • Return-to-work and vocational rehabilitation needs
Every day is different. You'll manage your own diary and caseload, conducting psychological assessments, providing evidence-based therapy, preparing comprehensive reports, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to help clients achieve the best possible outcomes.
Most assessments are completed from the Timaru clinic, with occasional home visits where reasonable adjustments are required.
About You We're looking for a Registered Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist who enjoys working collaboratively and is passionate about supporting people through recovery.

You'll ideally bring:
  • Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the New Zealand Psychologists Board
  • Around five years' post-registration experience
  • Strong psychological assessment and report writing skills
  • Experience working within rehabilitation, injury, or ACC environments
  • An interest or experience in pain management and concussion rehabilitation (highly desirable, but not essential)
Applications are also welcomed from overseas psychologists who are eligible to obtain New Zealand registration.
