Location: Timaru – Private Hospital
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Salary: $45 – $53.76 per hour, depending on experience
We are seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Theatre Nurse to join a well-established private hospital in Timaru . This is a fantastic opportunity for a theatre nurse who enjoys working in orthopaedics and is looking to join a supportive surgical team in a modern private hospital environment.
This role focuses primarily on elective orthopaedic procedures , working closely with surgeons and the wider theatre team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing orthopaedic procedures
- Assist with a range of elective orthopaedic surgeries
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal clinical outcomes throughout the surgical process
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and theatre staff
- Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of orthopaedic theatre experience
- Proven experience supporting orthopaedic procedures , particularly elective surgeries
- Strong focus on patient care, safety, and teamwork
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
