We are currently recruiting for a Registered Occupational Therapist to join a highly respected Auckland-based organisation supporting tangata whai ora within transitional housing and recovery-focused services in West Auckland.
This is a role where you will have the opportunity to build strong therapeutic relationships, support long-term recovery journeys, and make a visible difference within people’s lives every single day.
About the Role Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will support clients through recovery-focused interventions that promote independence, wellbeing, occupational performance, and community connection.
The role includes:
• Recovery-focused occupational therapy assessments and interventions
• Supporting clients within transitional housing environments
• Goal planning and rehabilitation support
• Developing and facilitating group programmes
• Clinical coaching and support for wider teams
• Building strong community and stakeholder relationships
• Supporting culturally safe and strengths-based practice
This is a varied role combining clinical practice, relationship building, recovery support, and community engagement.
What We Are Looking For
• Registered Occupational Therapist with current NZ APC
• Ideally experience within mental health, community, housing, or recovery-focused services
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Passion for recovery-focused practice and holistic wellbeing
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary environments
• Full NZ driver licence
