A well-established and community-focused medical centre in Rolleston is seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Prescriber to join their supportive primary care team.
With a patient population of approximately 9,700 enrolled patients , this busy practice offers the opportunity to work at the top of your scope while being well-supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team.
The Role
You will work collaboratively within a team of Nurse Prescribers, providing high-quality, patient-centred care with ongoing support and oversight from GPs and Nurse Practitioners . Depending on patient demand, you may also contribute to broader practice nursing responsibilities.
The Team & Environment
- Currently 6 GPs (with recent and upcoming transitions within the team)
- 2 Nurse Practitioners
- Additional Nurse Prescriber support within the team
- 8-10 Practice Nurses (varies with demand)
- GPs operate on 15-minute appointments and manage their own admin, supported by Heidi AI to streamline documentation and reduce workload
- A collaborative and adaptable team culture within a growing community
- Competitive hourly rate: $65-$70 per hour
- Flexible working: 3-4 days per week (negotiable)
- Paid work completed outside of standard clinic hours
- Strong clinical support from experienced GPs and Nurse Practitioners

- Registered Nurse with Nurse Prescribing qualification (NZ)
- Experience in primary care or general practice preferred
- Confident working both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and patient engagement skills
