The Job
This is a 0.8 FTE position blending clinical leadership with operational influence. You'll be working both on the floor and behind the scenes , supporting a busy, community focused clinic delivering both urgent care and general practice services.
You'll be the go to for your team - leading from the front, coaching, guiding and ensuring the highest standards of care.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and supporting a team of nurses in a fast paced environment
- Delivering hands on clinical care (triage, treatment room, urgent care support)
- Driving clinical excellence and consistency across the service
- Coaching and mentoring nurses to lift capability and confidence
- Supporting rostering, workflow, and daily operations
- Contributing to education, funding utilisation and service improvement
- Registered Nurse with 7+ years' experience
- 2-3 years in a leadership or senior nursing role
- Authorised Vaccinator + Cervical Smear Taker (essential)
- Strong background in New Zealand general practice / primary care
- Confident clinically and comfortable making decisions
- Natural leader — approachable, proactive, and solutions-focused
- Experience with Medtech 32 or Evolution (preferred)
