About the Job

Reporting to the Clinical Director (an experienced nurse leader who believes in growing and developing her people), this is an opportunity to step into a respected service with strong foundations and long tenure across the leadership team.

This role is focused on service leadership, clinical governance and team culture . • Strengthening team culture and cohesion across experienced and newer nurses
  • Bridging effectively between the IPU team and the wider executive/directorate
  • Supporting strategic planning, including early planning for a future IPU relocation and new build in Porirua
The structures are in place. What’s needed now is a confident leader who can build on strong foundations, empower the team and elevate the service.

About You

You are a strong, values-driven leader who can bring people together and build culture. You will bring:
  • Proven experience in a clinical or healthcare environment leading teams of 30+ staff
  • Confidence in clinical governance, quality and service oversight
  • Experience conducting performance reviews and supporting professional development
  • The ability to hold boundaries and lead confidently in a clinical setting
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to bridge effectively with senior stakeholders
A nursing qualification is preferred, but this is not a deal-breaker. What matters most is health sector leadership capability and credibility.

Benefits
  • Salary -  $119,105 - $130,854
  • Be part of a highly respected, values led hospice with strong community reputation
  • Involvement in future service and facility planning
