Are you a fully registered mental health professional with a passion for youth wellbeing? Join Youthline’s national Helpline team as a Casual Clinical Practitioner , working from the comfort of your home while making a meaningful impact.
Youthline, in partnership with RWR Health, is seeking experienced and compassionate practitioners to provide clinical support, risk assessment, and guidance to young people and volunteer counsellors across Aotearoa. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vital national service in a flexible, casual capacity.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing clinical assessment and support across multiple Helpline platforms including phone, text, email, and webchat
- Responding to disclosures of risk and supporting safe, person-centred outcomes
- Supporting, mentoring, and providing guidance to volunteers and trainees on shift
- Participating in clinical incident reviews and maintaining best-practice clinical standards
- Working remotely with a supportive, nationwide team of professionals
You must be a fully registered practitioner under the HPCA Act or a:
- Fully registered Social Worker
- Fully registered member of NZAC (Counsellor)
- Fully registered DAPAANZ practitioner (Alcohol & Other Drug/Gambling)
- Proven experience in the mental health sector
- A calm, empathetic and strengths-based approach to working with youth
- Strong clinical judgement and the ability to manage demand under pressure
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence working in a digital or telehealth environment (preferred)
- Casual, work-from-home flexibility
- Be part of a purpose-driven organisation with a national reach
- Supportive team environment with access to regular supervision and training
