What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a motivated GP to join this friendly team across two well-supported practices in Timaru and Geraldine - travel expenses covered . This role offers a rewarding mix of clinical variety, community connection, and flexibility — ideal for someone who enjoys a balance between coastal and rural practice life.
You’ll have the freedom to shape your workload and pursue your clinical interests, whether that’s minor surgery, chronic disease management, urgent care, or another specialty area. What You’ll Step Into
- A collegial environment with Fellows across both practices — offering mentorship, peer support, and an ideal setup for a GPAP3 if required.
- Streamlined workload with remote inbox management and AI scribe technology used in all consults, so you can focus on patient care, not paperwork.
- Telehealth capability across practices, giving you flexibility in how and where you connect with patients.
- Relocation support to make your move as smooth and stress-free as possible - if you are currently out of town.

Your Background
- MCNZ Registration
- Received or be working towards vocational registration in general practice
- Emotional maturity, resilience, and calm professionalism
- A collaborative mindset and genuine care for your community
- Experience in general practice or family medicine
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills
- Competitive rates $135 – $155 per hour, negotiable; higher for contractors.
- Strong clinical support with Fellows in both practices
