Youthline , in partnership with RWR Health , is seeking an experienced and motivated Funding Development Manager to join their Auckland-based team. This is a 12-month fixed-term role as Youthline navigates an evolving funding landscape.
About the Role
This pivotal role will see you leading the end-to-end process of preparing, writing, and submitting high-quality tender applications, government submissions, and grant proposals to secure vital funding for Youthline’s essential services. Your ability to identify and cultivate relationships with funders - including government, philanthropic trusts, and corporate partners will directly support young people across the motu.
You’ll be the go-to expert on funding trends, Youthline’s position on key sector issues, and the development of persuasive funding strategies that support long-term organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic grants and tender plan
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with funders and stakeholders
- Coordinate cross-functional input into funding submissions
- Draft Youthline’s positioning statements and government submissions
- Track and report on grant performance and impact
- 3–5+ years’ experience in grant writing, fundraising, or business development within this sector.
- Proven success securing funding from government, foundations, or corporate donors
- Strong writing, research, and project management skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement ability
- Familiarity with the youth or community health sector is a plus
- Previous Grant Funding Management experience would put you at the top of the list.
