We’re seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing to provide clinical and operational leadership across a 105-resident facility, which includes a 10-bed hospital and 15-bed secure dementia unit . About the Role
As Director of Nursing, you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and mentoring a skilled team of Registered Nurses, Caregivers, and Allied Health staff
- Overseeing all clinical care delivery and ensuring adherence to best practice and sector standards
- Driving quality and continuous improvement across audit, infection control, and risk management frameworks
- Working closely with the Village Manager and multidisciplinary teams to maintain exceptional resident outcomes
- Supporting staff education, clinical capability, and a positive, collaborative culture
You’ll bring:
- Current APC and registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
- Proven senior leadership experience within the aged-care or hospital sector
- Sound knowledge of HealthCERT, ARRC, and aged-care compliance requirements
- Strength in building relationships and inspiring high-performing teams
- A warm, approachable leadership style with a passion for person-centred care
