An established Wellington-based healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join their community team, supporting patients and whānau in their own homes across the palliative care journey.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a clinically confident nurse who enjoys autonomy, meaningful patient relationships, and working within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
About the Role
You’ll provide high-quality, person-centred care in the community, including:
- Symptom and pain management
- Assessment, care planning and clinical support
- Medication management and patient education
- Emotional support and respite care for whānau
- Collaboration with wider healthcare teams
- Current NZ Registered Nurse APC
- Ideally 2+ years’ post-registration experience
- Background in community or palliative care preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Full NZ driver’s licence
- NZ residency or valid work visa
- 32 hours per week
- Rostered rotating shifts: 1:30pm – 10:00pm, Monday–Sunday
- Ongoing professional development and palliative care training
