About the Job
This is a hands on leadership role overseeing clinical services for an ~80-bed facility (no dementia care). You'll ensure safe, person centred care, strong clinical governance, and timely reporting while also playing a visible role in hosting family tours and converting enquiries to support occupancy growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching, and developing a team of Nurses & Caregivers
- Upholding HDSS compliance, clinical risk management, audits, and documentation integrity
- Managing reporting, quality indicators, and optimising rosters
- Delivering robust orientation and ongoing competencies
- Showcasing rooms and fostering a warm, professional first impression
- Current NZ Registered Nurse with APC
- 3+ years' aged-care experience, ideally as a CNM
- Up to date clinical knowledge, confident with audits, reporting, and quality systems
- Strong communicator with a calm, collaborative leadership style
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable leading through change
- Long term commitment to New Plymouth if relocation from outside the region
- $115,000 - $120,000 salary band (experience dependent)
