About the job
We're looking for an experienced Clinical Manager to lead and inspire the clinical team at Karori Village in Wellington. This is a full-time, permanent role reporting to a fantastic Village Manager. It is a Tuesday to Saturday roster.
You'll be responsible for coordinating clinical service delivery, providing strong clinical leadership, and ensuring consistent, high-quality care for around 90 residents. This is a large, well-established village, recently audited with only minor findings now resolved - so you'll have the chance to make the role your own without firefighting from day one.

- Leading and supporting a team of RNs, ENs and caregivers, with coaching, mentoring and formal reviews
- Encouraging positive relationships with residents and families, fostering open communication
- Driving gerontological best practice and evidence-based care
- Preparing for and leading through audits, with strong quality outcomes
- Working with external stakeholders including NASC, Te Whatu Ora, and social workers to maintain high occupancy (no sales required)
- Helping to grow culture, bringing fresh, modern practice and taking the team on that journey
You'll be a confident and collaborative nurse leader who thrives on inspiring others and improving culture. Broad shoulders, resilience and warmth will help you succeed in this role.
What you'll bring:
- Current NZ Registered Nurse practicing certificate
- Aged care experience, ideally with management/leadership responsibility
- Strong knowledge of clinical and gerontological best practice
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and bring people with you through change
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to continuous improvement, quality care and resident satisfaction
