Your new environment
Based within the newly opened Hospital wing you will be immersed in New Zealand's latest state of the art environment.
Boasting 17 PACU bays, which work in harmony with the 10 new surgical theatres you will be operating within one of the most diverse and expansive surgical offerings in the country.
This role will see you leading a dedicated and passionate team of Registered Nurses including those that occupy the Team Leader positions. You will take responsibility of the day to day functions of the site, alongside supporting and enhancing the teams professional development.
This is a permanent 1.0 FTE role and whilst you'll work primarily Monday to Friday days, you may occasionally need to alter your days/hours to meet business needs
About the Role
Charge Nurse - PACU
Location: Epsom, Auckland
Hours: Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Monday to Friday – (with flexibility to adapt based on Hospital needs)
Who we are looking to connect with for this role
- NZ Registered Nurse with a current APC
- Relevant clinical postgraduate qualification e.g. periop, or critical care
- A leadership qualification or the desire to complete one
- Experience leading a high acuity unit e.g. PACU, ICU, ED
- A hands-on approach in supporting the delivery of clinical excellence and driving professional development
- A proactive change manager who can effectively manage fast moving situations
- Positive energy with the ability to collaborate and develop win/win relationships with our specialists and the wider multidisciplinary team
- You have advanced technical skills (and hopefully have experience using TrendCare)
