With around a third of the caseload in orthopaedics, including major spines, sports medicine, and joint replacements, you’ll also see a mix of general surgery, urology, gynaecology, and laparoscopic procedures.
About the Job
We’re looking for an Anaesthetic Technician (with APC) or Registered Nurse Anaesthetic Assistant (RNAA) to provide high quality anaesthetic support across a wide range of surgeries, with a strong orthopaedics focus.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with induction of general, local, spinal, epidural and regional anaesthesia
- Ensuring safe positioning and monitoring of patients
- Preparing and maintaining anaesthetic equipment to a high standard
- Working collaboratively in a cohesive theatre team to deliver safe, efficient patient care
- Qualified Anaesthetic Technician with current APC, or RNAA with dual scope practice
- Ideally experienced in orthopaedic theatre settings
- Committed to patient safety, teamwork, and best-practice care
- Excellent communication and a collaborative, can-do approach
- Competitive pay above MECA rates, $52+ per hour
