This 81-bed service provides rest home, hospital, palliative and respite care, along with a specialised 21-bed dementia unit. Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager, you'll be supported by an experienced leadership team, including a long-standing Clinical Nurse Manager, Service Manager and Unit Coordinator.
As Facility Nurse Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring exceptional clinical standards, regulatory compliance and a positive team culture. We're seeking a leader who is firm but fair, able to inspire their team while maintaining high expectations and delivering outstanding resident care.
Ideally, you will be a New Zealand Registered Nurse with experience in a non-clinical management role. However, candidates with significant aged care leadership experience and a strong operational background will also be considered.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A strong understanding of New Zealand health regulations, audits and quality systems
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- The ability to coach and support nursing and care teams
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities
